Job Description:

LogistiCare's Legal Department seeks a Contract Specialist to support and assist an attorney in the Miami Lakes, Florida office.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel /Vice President of Corporate Contracting, the Contract Specialist responsibilities will include updating, reorganizing, and maintaining the company's repository of contracts, using established templates to prepare initial drafts of standard contract documents and amendments, performing initial review of contract documents and amendments drafted by LogistiCare clients, assisting company attorneys to manage the queue and flow of contract documents between the legal department and internal and external stakeholders, preparing initial drafts of routine client forms and requests for information, drafting letters/ reports, researching/ analyzing contract issues and assisting Corporate Paralegals and other members of the legal team on department projects as assigned.

The Contract Specialist must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a changing business environment, communicate openly, clearly, and completely (including excellent written and oral skills) with a wide-range of internal business units and external clients to ensure contract documents are prepared, reviewed and approved, and executed according to applicable policies and procedures.

The Contract Specialist will interface with and participate in basic to moderately complex projects involving multiple stakeholders through to completion in a timely, efficient, and collaborative fashion.

The Contract Specialist must be able to work independently using judgment and discretion with respect to each assigned task even while working under often tight time limited and a demanding environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responds to internal requests for new / amended contract forms and prepares initial drafts of contract documents for review by Legal Department attorneys

Perform contractual and factual research

Maintain corporate legal and contract files

Manage and update legal forms and templates

Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Education

B.A. or B.S. (required)

Experience

1-2 years experience in an office environment (corporate legal department or law office- would be a plus --but is not required)

Recent College Graduates are also encouraged to apply (will consider internships, volunteer positions and summer jobs); This would be an ideal opportunity for someone considering law school in the future
