Litigation Associate

Profile

Dinsmore & Shohl, a prominent national law firm with over 700 attorneys in 29 cities, has an immediate opportunity for a mid-level litigation Associate in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of five years of litigation experience, including experience preparing pleadings and motions, arguing motions, taking depositions, handling complex discovery and ESI, and preparing cases for trial. This role will require the ability to develop a case and strategy and interact with clients directly on a regular basis. Contract and construction litigation is preferred but not required, and experience drafting and negotiating contracts is a plus. Familiarity with the Pennsylvania court system is a plus, but a willingness to practice in multiple jurisdictions and interact with local counsel is preferred. All candidates should have a strong academic background, and possess excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
A license to practice in Pennsylvania is required. An additional license in Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Georgia or Florida is a plus. Out of state candidates who are either willing to sit for the Pennsylvania bar exam or eligible for admission in Pennsylvania will be considered.
