Contracts Manager, Google Hardware Operations
Contracts Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Contracts Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.
The Contract Management team within Hardware Global Operations plays a critical role in Google's success in Consumer Hardware by partnering across Supply Chain and Store Operations, Business Systems, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing to enable and manage vendor solutions that support the needs of our growing business. Outsourced partners are key to enabling the speed, scale and efficiencies that will support the plans that the Hardware team will achieve in the coming years.
With a company growing at such fast speeds, every day another agreement is made to keep Google running. You develop practical and innovative ways to meet Google's needs and keep the company thriving. You have the ability to affect Google's long-term goals. You will help draft, review, manage and revise agreements, managing a large number of them at a time, working with internal teams in Global Operations, and Business Development, and external partners to conclude agreements that best support our varied projects. You will be challenged to help us solve business and legal issues in an innovative, practical and efficient way. You will establish processes and systems that will scale and ensure ongoing compliance with our agreements. You will also be a key contributor in driving our mission forward.
Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our Consumer Hardware team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, more powerful, and seamless. Whether finding new ways to capture and sense the world around us, advancing form factors, or improving interaction methods, our Consumer Hardware team is making people's lives better through technology.
