Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an exciting opportunity for a Subcontracts Manager in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will support the Strategic Systems Engineering Services (SSES) Program for the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) Customer. The SED, within the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (USA RDECOM), has development and support responsibilities for myriad weapons systems and related support systems with associated enhancements. The Subcontracts Manager is the Supply Chain Integrated Product Team (SIPT) Lead with a dotted-line reporting to the SSES Program Manager and a solid-line reporting to the Business level Supply Chain Manager. This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Subcontracts processes, metrics and tools; recommending and implementing best practices as warranted by program execution situations; working directly with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads and functional support to ensure flawless program execution and growth. The ideal candidate will draw on their extensive program and/or subcontract management experience to ensure effective subcontractor execution in alignment with program objectives on high-dollar computer services contracts. The Subcontract Manager will serve as the primary interface between Raytheon and the program's many subcontractors. These supplier relationships will entail frequent face-to-face meetings with stakeholders as well as mentoring small businesses. The Subcontract Manager will need to ensure quick resolution of technical and programmatic issues by leveraging and integrating the capabilities and relationships within all levels of the organizations. To be successful in this capacity, the candidate must use their strong leadership, mentoring and partnering skills, business acumen and technical aptitude in developing solid working relationships with the IPT and across a large base of subcontract partners. Requirements: - Minimum of 10 years of professional sub contracts or related experience ideally in a gov't contractor environment similar to Raytheon. - Ability to work within a team and foster trust from both external and internal customers - Experience partnering and developing relationships with subcontractors and managing over 30 subcontracts at a single time across a diverse supplier base. - Demonstrated success in managing supplier performance including risk mitigation and corrective actions plans - Excellent interpersonal and communications (written and oral) skills - Ability to work effectively in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) matrix organization - Experience leading a team, preferably of other Supply Chain / Subcontract professionals - Must be able to work with minimal supervision at times and within a fast-paced multitask environment - Must be comfortable and effective working in a team environment - Experience with providing leadership and mentoring to staff - Ability to understand and ensure full compliance at all times with applicable Company policy and guidelines - Must be US Citizen with Current, active DoD Secret clearance Desired Skills: - Aerospace and Defense industry experience and/or experience in companies that bring software services products to market in a highly regulated industry - Ability to apply legal aspects of government and commercial acquisition to the subcontract management function using the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) - Familiarity with Raytheon's businesses, policies, and practices - Proficiency and experience working sole source and competitive acquisitions - Defense Industry specific contracts or industry related experience preferred Required Education (including Major): - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or related emphasis or equivalent combination of education and experiencer (Bachelor Degree = 8 years of additional applicable experience).
