Primary Job Functions:
Minimum 3 years spent in a contract administration department. 5 years of experience in contracts management preferred, but not required.
Experience with contract management life cycle, including contract review, evaluation and compliance.
Experience with contract management software
Experience with advising the development team of contractual rights and obligations; compiling and analyzing data; maintaining historical information and ensuring compliance in accordance with specific terms of the contract.
Experience drafting and negotiating contracts is preferred, but not required.
Experience in renewable energy is preferred, but not required.
Bachelors Degree required
JD degree preferred, but not required
Minimum of three years progressive responsibility with quantifiable results in contract administration and/or management
Experience reading and understanding a variety of types of contract and provisions.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Strong contract modeling software skills. The contract manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining the contract management software in order to ensure complete records of all contracts including but not limited to interconnection agreements, real estate contracts, permits and power purchase agreements.
Must be extremely organized, and able to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve workflow and ensure compliance
Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Visio
The candidate will be responsible for leading the efforts associated with the Contract Management Life cycle for the project execution team.
The candidate will review, monitor contract performance and compliance, recommend improvements and innovations to oversight of contract process and ensuring contract accuracy.
Communicates and manages workflow of all contract stages and contract-related information, provide contract related issue resolution to all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Review contracts and agreements and escalate complex legal and factual issues to assist in resolution and/or compliance.
Prepare metrics on contract operations for reporting to management.
Responsible for proper documentation related to contractual deadlines, duties and responsibilities within the project execution teams.
Monitor and complete contract compliance, extension or renewal, as appropriate.
Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.
Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.
Monitor transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing etc.)
