Great opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager to join a company in Cambridge, MA on a long-term temporary basis.  The purpose of this position is to coordinate all phases of contract processing for agreements for the company’s business units (BU).  Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Oversee and provide direction on contracts management and the contracting process in conjunction with representatives from the Business, Finance, Compliance, Legal, IP, Procurement, Quality and other applicable stakeholders for all BU functions.

Provide professional services and strategic input relating to contracts requested from or relating to various functional areas.

This position serves to execute and manage contracts in an effective and efficient manner to stay within the agreed timeline and using applicable systems and processes.

Mitigate contractual risk and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies and processes.

Manage all supporting business partners and execute the requisite authorization and approval needs and requirements.

This position will maintain tracking of pending contracts, and will escalate to Business Operations team any potential issues or delays for further resolution.

Manage and prioritize all agreement negotiation efforts between multiple locations, functions, business partners and third parties to ensure negotiations are on track and executed as scheduled.

Provide input into the development of operational processes to support all contract activities.

Manage deadlines and keep Leadership and Stakeholders up-to-date on the status of contracts.

Build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and alliance partners.

Account for and monitor contract deal life-cycle and provide status to BU and Procurement Leadership as required.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and company policies and processes.

Maintain tracking tools for pending contracts.

Continually evaluate tracking tools to ensure viability and provide Leadership with recommendations on any changes, if applicable.

Manage processes for uploading agreements into the relevant contract management software systems, applying proper processes to each contractual situation.

Review all contracts to ensure that all necessary terms and elements are appropriately completed.

Communicate directly with third parties, including vendors and internal business partners, regarding pending and existing contracts.

Ensure that third parties receive fully executed agreements and associated POs, and that documentation is provided to various internal functional areas (e.g., legal, accounting/finance) as needed.

Manage and maintain agreement management database to ensure accuracy.

Monitor and manage agreement expirations and renewals.

Maintain agreement and corporate files and provide record keeping support.

Maintain security and confidentiality of agreements and negotiations.

Accomplish special projects, research, reports, data and problem analysis as assigned.

Accomplish document formatting and control duties as assigned.


Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience working in a professional office environment (or equivalent closely related alternate experience) is required.

Contract administration, licensing, business development or procurement experience preferred.

Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Strong communication, analytical and time management skills.

Experience in a cross-functional business environment (e.g., matrix organization).
