The Dow Chemical Company has an exciting opportunity for a Large Contract Administrator in Plaquemine, LA . The person filling this role will act as a focal point in providing Dow oversight in the area of Non Dow Service Providers (Contractors). The responsibilities include ensuring contractor activities are aligned with Dow Technical Expertise and Support (TES) strategies, the administration of service contracts and dealing with issues pertaining to the service contractor and the Dow Job Representative. Primary focus of this role is to provide oversight for the identified service contractors for the Louisiana Operations Site. Responsibilities: \u2022 Advance services of the Service Contractor programs to achieve maximum customer service and best value to Dow Chemical. \u2022 Network with other sites \/ resources to achieve Most Effective Technology (MET) on site for the identified Service Contractor programs. \u2022 Monitor cost with Service Contractor to achieve greatest value to site. \u2022 Communicate with businesses to optimize services provided. \u2022 Actively drive Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Quality, Service and Product Performance (QSPP) processes. \u2022 Actively participates and drive improvements in Service Contractor\u2019 safety programs. \u2022 Periodically evaluates contractor safety performance and communicates the results to the contractor and Dow TES Leadership. \u2022 Ensures contractor receives a site indoctrination with verification of understanding and documentation covering the general site rules and standards general to the contractors work site \u2022 Participates in incident investigations that involve the contractor. \u2022 Assists Purchasing in determining the safety and health criteria for removal of a contractor from qualified bidders. list and for the removal of an individual contractor employee from the Dow site. \u2022 Maintains a contractor file on problems\/issues\/ observations and incident information. \u2022 Ensures appropriate record keeping as required by law for contractors directed by Dow. \u2022 Responds to contractor safety concerns. \u2022 Acts as the TES focal point for service contractor issues. \u2022 Assists Purchasing in determining most cost effective means of supplying required area services. \u2022 Provide monthly reporting on key performance metrics for contractors. Qualifications Required Qualifications: \u2022 Minimum of 10 years experience in Plant Operations and\/or Maintenance. \u2022 Minimum of 2 years experience Contract Administrator. \u2022 Computer literacy is a must (Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). \u2022 Excellent communication skills a must. \u2022 Field inspection will require individual to go in all process areas on regular basis. \u2022 Some climbing could be required for inspection of work being performed by contractors. \u2022 Alternative work schedule available- 4-10\u2019s or 9\/80 Shift \u2022 Must be able to willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes. \u2022 Must be able to willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. \u2022 Must be able to willing and able to work in such environments working in tight or closed-in spaces. \u2022 Must be willing and able to climb stairs\/ladders and working high off the ground. \u2022 Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time. \u2022 Must have a current, valid US driver\u2019s license \u2022 A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
