Benefits Eligible Yes Eligible for Overtime No Position Summary The Industrial Contract Specialist II, under the supervision of the Director of Technology Transfer, will serve in the Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) by independently drafting, negotiating and finalizing material transfer and non-disclosure agreements. Additionally, the position will assist in drafting, conducting negotiations and preparing agreements, subcontracts and amendments for industry sponsored research in accordance with institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Internal \/ External Contacts Contacts within the university will extend in scope from the President\u2019s Office to the departmental level, particularly with faculty and department administrators. Contact outside of the university will include a wide variety of organizations, including other universities and domestic and international industry sponsors. Physical Demands Required to sit and work in front of a computer for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per day). Must be able to move about campus. Working Conditions There is an extremely heavy volume of work that must be handled quickly and accurately in spite of interruptions by phone calls and visitors requiring service. Routinely required to work extended hours in the evening and occasionally in the early morning and on weekends to meet deadlines. Travel out of town for professional meetings or conferences once a year.
