To effectively and efficiently review and negotiate contracts with customers while protecting Emerson’s financial and legal interests and appropriately managing risk. To ensure compliance with applicable Emerson corporate policies, procedures and initiatives.
Negotiates and drafts contracts between Emerson and its customers and appropriately limits Emerson’s liabilities.Resolves conflicts regarding terms and conditions, regulations, material specifications, prior to order acceptance. Provides leadership to other groups and individuals as necessary to resolve conflicts.Assures contractual scope of work is maintained and maximized between Emerson and its customers. Takes initiative with customer and/or internally to assure scope of work does not change without adequate coordination and compensation and assures effective coordination between Emerson and its customers to achieve acceptable service levels.Assures contractual obligations are performed in a professional and businesslike manner by using sound judgement to interpret risk posed by contracts, ensuring contracts conform with Emerson corporate policies and directives, and documentation meets customer requirements.Resolves internal Emerson conflictsLimits risk on new product development and assists with matters related to Emerson acquisitions.Executes unique documentation requests (standby letters of credit, bonds, and insurance certificates). Ensures documentation meets customer requirements while maintaining risk.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
