L3 Technologies, Communication Systems-West (CSW) is currently seeking a Supervisor for the Cables and Connectors commodity team. The Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of buyers in the cables and connectors commodity as well as a developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, conducting negotiations and business reviews. In addition, he\/she should be well versed in subcontract specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials and equipment. Job Duties: Supervise the conversion of purchase requisitions to purchase orders in a timely manner to meet customer delivery requirements (includes new, repeat, and repair orders) Review and assist with Requests for Quotation\/Proposal (RFQ\/P) & analyze supplier quotes to determine best source in terms of cost, conformance to requirements, and delivery Support Bid and Proposal activities by coordinating pricing efforts with Program Managers, Hardware Cost Estimating, and other buyers; prepare and follow-up on requests for quotation\/bid\/proposal to help ensure a compliant and effective competitive bidding process Document fair and reasonable pricing per FAR by performing cost and\/or price analysis Ensure all applicable program, company, engineering, and item-specific conformance criteria are clearly and adequately conveyed to suppliers Maintain accurate PO files per FAR\/DFAR requirements and internal policies and procedures Write negotiation plans and assist with single\/sole source justifications Follow-up on late deliveries and expedite deliveries with suppliers as required Conduct business reviews within the supply base and support supplier quality audits. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor\u2019s degree; MBA a plus 10 years experience in Supply Chain 5 years DOD-related experience preferred 2 years of leadership experience ISM or APICS certification or equivalent preferred Hands-on negotiation experience Advanced problem-solving experience Advanced knowledge of and experience with ERP systems (SAP experience a plus) Advanced knowledge of FAR\/DFAR, ITAR, and other related requirements Advanced knowledge of technical requirements (MIL-SPEC, processing, etc.) and ability to read blueprints a plus Advanced knowledge of and experience with Teamcenter preferred Experience with manufacturing processes and knowledge of product flow Travel
