Contracts Negotiator Sr for the fast-paced THAAD Program. The successful candidate will provide Contracts administration guidance by reviewing and interpreting contract requirements, contract change impacts, extending and administering IWTAs and requests for proposal / ROMs. The individual will be adept in understanding contract terms, articulating those positions to the business and ensuring the program teams are able to effectively understand the impacts of the agreements reached with the Customer.
Candidate will be considered an emerging contracts professional able to develop and apply solutions to complex problems encountered during contract administration. Advise leadership and Program management of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical contract information.
Candidate should be considered an emerging leader who requires minimal supervision and has experience with Production and Post Production contracts. Successful candidate must be able to handle multiple assignments and achieve or exceed program goals and deadlines in a fast paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills with a proven ability to work with stakeholders across multiple Business Units
Experience in all aspects of the contract life cycle including contract administration, proposal preparation and close-out
Well-versed with the IWTA system and related policies and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Expertise in the LM Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) is a must
Excellent written and oral communication skills and be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision
Must have a sound working knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and other government acquisition regulations
Prior experience working in an IDIQ contract environment, including the administration of multiple task orders and delivery orders
Successful candidate works well in a team environment and ability to work independent of functional management while managing the successful completion of program requirements
Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or THAAD experience
Prior experience working with IDIQ Contracts and IWTAs
Able to manage and administer multiple task orders in a fast paced environment
Strong working knowledge of FFP, FPIF, CPIF and CPFF contract types
Able to develop solutions to a variety of moderate and complex problems which may require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation
Experience working with virtual teams
