We are looking for a responsible
to join our team. A successful Contract Administrator will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover potential risks for our company. Our ideal candidate has previous experience managing contracts for a Property Management company.
Prepare sales and purchase contracts; review and update existing contracts
Obtain bids from vendors for all Capital and Rehab projects over $5,000
Schedule start and completion dates
Maintain Project tracker in central data base to track project progress, payments, change orders, and completion
Schedule final inspection by JRK employees
Obtain required Insurance Certificates, W-9’s, etc.
Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partner
Process deposit payments and progress payments, gathering GL information from Project/Asset Manager, upload invoices to Nexus and index all information
Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties
Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts
Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed
General administrative duties, including expense reports, travel arrangements and filling
Proven work experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract Manager or relevant role
Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts
Familiarity with accounting procedures
Excellent writing skills
Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners
Experience with working in a fast paced environment and handling high call volume
BS degree in Business Administration; additional qualifications in Property Management are a plus

In the late 1980s, founder Jim Lippman recognized a burgeoning opportunity evolving for real estate investors. Recent tax code changes were spurring a wholesale shift in the ownership of commercial properties throughout the United States, which was creating dislocation in the marketplace. As a result, buyers were being presented the opportunity to purchase fundamentally attractive real estate at heavily discounted prices. Jim founded JRK in 1991 to capitalize on this opportunity and offered sellers this promise: “as the buyer, JRK would close with speed and certainty.” After successfully purchasing dozens of apartment and hotel properties during its early years, Jim realized that JRK could further maximize the value of its portfolio by improving property operations and investing in renovations that generated accretive returns on investment. JRK formed its own asset management and property management divisions in 1995.
