The successful candidate would be the site focal point in determining area maintenance service contractor strategies, administration of service contracts, and owner of the site contractor safety program. 
Responsibilities will include budget reporting and site purchasing focal point:

Maintains a copy of the contractors current safety program
Fosters a continuous improvement mindset by driving the contractor leadership to improve
Acts as the owner's representative in all contract issues
Conducts field audits, EHS standard assessments and observations on aligned contractors and others
Reviews and evaluates audit findings for aligned contractors and partner with Contractor Leadership to develop and implement action plans to close opportunity areas
Actively participates in RCIs for aligned contractors to ensure true root cause is determined and actions are identified and implemented to close gaps
Conducts audits on respective contractor requirements to ensure requirements are being met (lead, etc.)
Facilitates contractor foremen/safety meetings and leverage Dow expectations and key learnings as appropriate
Ensures contractor receives site indoctrination with verification of understanding and documentation covering the general site rules and standards general to the contractor’s work site.
Interfaces with Dow Representatives/ Maintenance SME to assess the contractor’s technical qualifications for the contracted service.
Knows and understands the terms and conditions of the contract.
Directs responsibility for managing the activities of the contractor based on the terms and conditions of the contract.
Directs responsibility for resolution of issues pertaining to delivery of service defined within the contracts. Identified as a QSPP investigator for assigned contracts.
Supports Purchasing in contract negotiations with the contract company. Initiates Ensures contractor receives a site indoctrination with verification of understanding and documentation covering the general site rules and standards general to the contractors work site.
Ensures a process exists that allows the contractor access to the current copy of the pertinent safety standards.
Determines what type of contractor card and site access the contractor requires.
Ensures documentation of the contractors training records are forwarded to the contractors.
Interfaces with partners to define the work to be done and determines requirements and priorities
Indicating safety, health and environmental considerations and control measures to prevent contact or exposure.
Measures the efficiency of the work process and initiates Management of Change for improvements and fast knowledge transfer
Will have responsibilities that include implementation and ongoing support of the Maintenance Procedure Use Policy at the facility. 
Ensures that all maintenance employees comply with all applicable elements of the Maintenance Procedure Use Policy
Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy as required:
Performs technical reviews of procedures
Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review.
Supports development of the “Procedure Exemption List”
Creates/develops/changes/updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure MOC’s.
Discussions with Purchasing in an effort to refine or modify contract deliverables.

','!*!Required Qualifications:

5 years in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills are required.
Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.
A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Must be able to do the following with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes. 
Must be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground.
Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time. 
Must have a current, valid US driver’s license.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in SAP with a strong focus on Purchasing and MRO preferred.
Previous involvement on a safety team preferred.
Previous experience in contract development and/or negotiation preferred.

A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate’s degree in relevant field OR 4 years military experience preferred.
