This position will report to the Sourcing and Program Director - Member Business Ventures for Mid-America Service Solutions (MSS). The Portfolio Administrator will provide assistance to the aggregation personnel responsible for managing the contracting for MSS. The Portfolio Administrator will manage the contract portfolio administrative functions; coordinating the fulfillment of the organizations contract requirements and routinely monitoring contracting efficiencies.
This position is responsible for coordinating the fulfillment of the organizations contract requirements. This includes:
Ensure continuous contract coverage for MSS's addendums and contracts
Manage and execute extension, roll-over, and product maintenance amendments
Support process improvement activities and streamline existing procedures
Utilize analytical tools to ensure best in class pricing
Provide analytical summaries & recommendations as needed or requested
Attend supplier meetings, business reviews, and negotiations
Assist in the creation of meeting materials
Assist in the creation of executive summaries and contract fact sheets
Research and respond to member questions
Effectively communicate with all stakeholders
Occasional travel to attend member meetings
Special projects as needed
Bachelor's Degree preferred, either in business or a health care related field.
Clinical and/or business experience in the health care strongly preferred
Two to three years of progressive experience in the health care products industry or progressive managerial experience in a health care organization
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (Word, Power Point, Excel and Access)
Strong analytical, database and spreadsheet skills
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Flexible, action-oriented team player
