Vendor Manager, Google Technical Services
The Google Technical Services Global Customer Care team is a solution-generating force that helps our sales teams and advertisers. These solutions need to be scalable to support millions of customers worldwide. In addition to troubleshooting on the customer side, we work with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better tools and services to improve our products based on the evolving needs of our users. As a cross-functional and global team, it's our job to help keep the lights on and the ads fresh.
As a Vendor Manager, you'll manage multi-disciplinary projects and oversee operational performance working towards strategic business goals. You will be responsible for driving the vendor strategy and performance across vendor operations, partnering closely with multiple teams and managing the portfolio of vendor workflows.
You will use your project management skills and innovative thought process to recommend solutions that will help improve evolving workflows and help compare the performance of various vendors and create frameworks for improving quality/efficiency.

Manage local vendor relationships, oversee the day-to-day operations at the site, collect vendor data and monitor vendor performance.
Manage incubation projects and work with senior stakeholders on implementation of your recommendations.
Act as the primary point of contact for all escalations, communicate staffing needs, launch requirements with vendors and test adequacy of workflow documentation.
Work with project managers and site leads to coordinate evaluations and work with analysts and finance agents to drive purchase order approval.
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in a vendor management/service delivery capacity.
Experience in managing outsourced strategies and business improvements.
Preferred qualifications:
3 years of experience working in outsourcing, with a focus on one or more of the following: direct vendor management, setting and driving vendor strategy, process improvement, contracting, and/or commercial negotiations.
Ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders and geographies.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work closely and build relationships with stakeholders and partners.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence others.
