Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring that business and legal operations of the organization are handled within Company guidelines and procedures. Provides legal advice and guidance to staff and executives in complex contract negotiations and compliance, product development and operations. Helps to train new team members. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Provides continuous counsel and guidance on complex legal matters and on legal implications of matters.

Performs legal research and provides opinions or memoranda regarding contract liability and on general corporate issues.

Acts as initial point of contact for internal teams concerning legal aspects and interpretation of larger scale, complex contracts.

Communicates new and/or modified contract terms, for new and existing products, to all affected internal teams (i.e. operations, sales, finance, audit, customer support and/or data management) for their incorporation into and/or adaptation of their departmental processes.

Negotiates and drafts new agreements and/or amendments to existing contracts, interacting with in-house and outside counsel, as appropriate.

Manages projects as assigned.

Works to establish processes that will create efficiencies.

Creates, updates and preserves important corporate records.

Drafts legal documents of complexity.

Coaches and guides team members with less experience.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
