Description: Become part of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Organization as a subcontract management team member to support the SSC Facilities Construction Team. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the procurement of facilities support such as construction design and build, purchased services, in direct and direct procurements. You will be responsible for Sourcing and purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare bid packages.Desired Skills: - 3 years of procurement/supply chain/buying experience - 2 years of price analysis experience- Construction knowledge/familiarity with local General Contractors and Suppliers.- 3-5 years of experience in construction engineering management.- Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Facilities. - Familiar with structural, mechanical and electrical systems.- Familiar with construction contract types (Design Build/Design Bid Build/GMP/T&M/FFP) and special contracting terms.- Ability to manage special payment provisions Basic Qualifications: - Experience or exposure to Supply Chain Management - Construction Procurement training and experience- Experience with various contract types including T&M, FFP- Experience with high dollar (1M ) Procurement/Subcontracts- Self-motivated, takes initiative - Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities - Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions - Effective customer service - Ability to be flexible and adapt to change- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite- Leadership Training-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
